Tails woke up to find himself in the hospital. He noticed that cosmo was asleep with her head on the end of the bed. He sat up and she stirred. He smiled when her bright blue eyes opened. She smiled at him back and hugged him. "Cosmo? What happened?" "You passed out after that thing attacked us. Sonic helped me get you here." Sonic walked in the room like on cue. "Hey tails! Glad to see you're okay!" he nods. "After that thing attacked us, I was scratched by it and I don't really remember what happened after that…" sonic nods. "Okay! Well, we can investigate what is later! Your girlfriend was worried sick!" he looked at cosmo and she nodded. "I was. I thought it had gravely hurt you more than it actually did!" he got off of the hospital bed. "I'll be fine! Cosmo, how can I make it up to you?" she shook her head. "I'm fine. Let's just go home for now!" he nods and follows her. Eggman wanted to get back at tails for besting him. He sent a massive egg robot out to teach them a lesson. They were walking when he heard metallic footsteps. He stopped and looked around. The robot came out and tails got in front of cosmo. It was lugging a giant Gatling laser cannon. Tails knew it was trouble right away. It turned to them and its gun's barrels started spinning. Tails knocked cosmo out of the way and ducked as lasers blasts destroyed the surrounding area. Tails twisted his ankle as he ducked and cringed. The robot lumbered toward tails and he struggled to get away. The robot picked him up by the scruff of the neck and took out a huge knife. Cosmo wanted to do something but knew she couldn't. Tails had some powers he regretted having he knew he would have to use. He flexed his paws and the wind picked up. Soon he had the robot dangling in the air. He jumped down and soon a high pressure vortex surrounded the robot. It was soon crushed under the pressure. Tails fell over from all the energy he used cosmo ran over to him. He was breathing to catch his breath. He smiled at her when she came up. "Tails? How'd you do that?" he laughed. "I have some powers due to my species… you know how I have two tails right?" she nods. "Yeah, what about it?" "I'm a kitsune! I can control fire, lightning, and wind!" she smiled. "Cool!" they finish walking home. Tails relised how much time it took to beat that thing and it was getting late. He walked outside thinking about the wolf Mobian that attacked them the previous night. Cosmo walked out and hugged him. "Thinking about what happened last night?" he blinked in surprise. "How'd you know?" she smiled. "Seedrians have a way of connecting to their lovers and knowing their every move and thought!" he nods. "I didn't know that!" he then started feeling weird. He looked up to see a full moon. Cosmo noticed his trance. "Tails? Are you okay?" he started hurting inside. He looked at his scar from the scratch and noticed it was disappearing. He started changing. Cosmo backed away. She felt his pain as he changed. But she knew he'd be alright. He was soon fully changed he looked around confused. He looked at his now clawed and overgrown paws and sighed gruffly. He then looked at cosmo and saw that she wasn't afraid. She just examined him. "Tails… I think this is because of the scratch from last night…" he nods. They walk to the forest in knothole and a wind blew past. She shivered. He noticed and took out the cape he normally had on in his super form and put it on her shoulders. She thanked him and yawned. They eventually came to a clearing and sat down. She sat her head on his furry chest and had the cape covering her. He smiled and slowly fell asleep with her.
